how to check if haptic feedback works

my trackpad works as a mouse but I can't feel the haptic feedback. I did turn on , in the settings and nothing

How long has this been an issue? Have you tried restarting your Mac to see if that helps?

Log out, sleep, restart, or shut down your Mac


Which features seem to no longer work using Force Touch? Have you tried adjusting your settings to test the responsiveness? This includes changing your Click setting as well. How to use the Force Touch trackpad


Also, please make sure you're running the most recent version of macOS compatible with your Mac. If you continue to run into issues, you can use the steps we've included below.
