Hello edwena80,

We understand your iPad is beeping when you plug in into the charger. It's normal for your iPad to making a beeping type of noise when you first plug it into the charger. However, if your device is making that noise repeatedly when plugged in, this would not be expected. We'd like to help you fix it.

Usually repeated beeps while connected to a charger indicate your iPad is disconnecting from the charge and then reconnecting itself. There are several reasons this may happen. Try out these steps:

  1. Try a different charger. Make sure you're using a certified Apple charger: Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories. If you don't experience the same issue when using a different charger, there may be a problem with the charger itself and not your iPad.
  2. Check your charging cable and USB adapter for signs of damage, like breakage or bent prongs.
  3. Charger your iPad in a wall outlet. If you're already charging via a wall outlet, try a different one.
  4. Check your charging port for dirt and debris. Clean your charging port if needed: How to clean your Apple products. After that, firmly plug your charging cable into your device.
  5. Restart your iPad

If your iPad seems to charge slow, or isn't charging at all, there are additional steps in the following resource that may be helpful: If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge.
