How do i fix this?

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand that phone calls are disconnecting on an iPhone, after the recent update of iOS 14. We'll be happy to help.


To help troubleshoot this behavior, we recommend to follow these steps:


  1. Please make sure that your iPhone is updated to iOS 14.0.1: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  2. Update the carrier settings: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad
  3. Remove the SIM card and verify that the SIM card is valid with your carrier: Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPhone or iPad and Learn which size SIM card your iPhone or iPad uses
  4. Verify to see if the SIM card fits properly in the SIM tray.
  5. Test to see if you experience the drop calls with all of your contacts.
  6. Verify and see if the drop calls occur in a certain location.
  7. Contact your carrier to ensure there's no outages in your area and to review your account.
  8. Restore your iPhone to factory settings and test the phone calls: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings (Prior to restoring your iPhone, please make sure you have a back up of your data: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
