How do I transfer my mail to my new ipad

When transferring data from an old to new iPad, your old email messages are not transferred - but the email account settings are transferred to the new iPad.

If your iPad was previously using IMAP settings, all your email resides on the mail server until deleted. As such, you new iPad will be able to (re)download your older (archived) email from the Mail Server. However, if your older iPad was using POP3 settings, then the email messages may not still be present on the mail server.
