apple music not working on my MacBook Air 2020

I need help.


I am subscribed to Apple Music, and I recently just got my 2020 MacBook Air. all my accounts are signed into my Apple ID and all my music synced to my Apple Music from my iPhone to my MacBook. BUT my MacBook won't let me play any songs AND they won't download.

Im not sure what to do. Ive unchecked "sync" in the preferences and then re-synced but that didn't work. Every time I try to download, it just keeps saying "waiting for download" and nothing happens. my computer is up to date on the software too, its macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with Apple Music. It sounds like you aren't able to play your Apple Music library on your new Mac.

You'll want to be sure Sync Library is turned on everywhere: Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music.
