itune music charges

I am not subscribed to Apple Music nor iTunes or anything. I purchase $1.29 songs that I like and that's what I listen to. Lately whenever I buy a song or album is get over charged. Why is that? For example, today I bought an album that was $5.41 and a song that was $1.29 but I got charged $14.99. Why is that? It's not the first time it happens. Please explain
