Charging cable warranty?

I purchased a 2m usb charging cable 5 months ago and it stopped working. Does Apple provide warranty on them?

Apple warrants its products for one year if:

You purchased an Apple product
The issue is caused by a manufacturing defect (extremely unlikely in a charging cable).
