An identical iPhone 8 on iOS 13 still displays 7-day view.
Only difference I can see is change in heading from short day format "FRI" to long day "Friday".
Decreasing text size to smallest helps but not completely.
Apple please being back 7-day weekly view.

It does not matter which iPhone model you have. The difference is in the iOS. In the iOS 14 weekly calendar view, you are not limited to only seeing five or seven days (depending on text size and screen size). You can swipe right to left to see all of your future dates in weekly view with the current date prominently showing in a red box with white letters.

You might also want to look at some of the many other calendar applications available in the App Store. Perhaps one of them would have the view you prefer.
Tried that first thing. It makes no difference by turning the iPhone 8 horizontally because you've changed the heading from short day format (THU) to long day format (Thursday)... but I'm pretty sure you knew that.
Not sure if you read my notes but I stated that the Inhave two identical iPhone 8 phones and the iOS 13 one still shows 7-days in horizontal mode while the upgraded one now only shows 5 days... in horizontal mode.

I think you're not engaging with the facts.
Two identical iPhone 8s -
Ios13 - "week view" displays 7 days.
ios 14 - "week view" displays 5 days max.
no amount of swiping or turning horizontally or text shrinking improves it... because the heading in ios14 is in "long day" format (ie 'Thursday')
Solution: Apple goes back to ios13 "short day " format (ie "THU").
Please don't provide anymore answers that don't solve the problem.

On my iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14.0.1, when I turn my phone sideways, I get seven days.
Readdle 'Calendars' Lite is free... no extra for week view... and it shows 7-day week in horizontal AND vertical... I only use the iOS calendar for editing now.
Thanks for suggestion but larger screen on the iPhone 11.
Only 5-days on the iPhone 8 caused I think by the changed long day format.
So the Apple solution would be... buy a newer phone.
Great suggestion. Go get a better app.
I've been using Readdle's "Calendars" since the last time Apple did this to their embedded calendar a few years ago.
I'm fond of Fantastical but the Week view is subscription only.
