I am trying to watch a video in landscape mode but the widgets are blocking the video. When i delete the widgets the edge of the "search" block still shows and blocks part of the screen

Restart your phone. That sorted the issue for me. Issue started for me yesterday but has not returned after restart.
This has to be a bug...would anyone on purpose actually design a stupid widget display that blocks a landscape image with no ability to make it go away? Turning off and restarting phone worked to clear it, but I'll be it comes back unless Apple fixes this.

Entirely annoying. This just started happening today where the widgets show on my screen when in landscape mode - totally a feature I do not need. It covers up videos and photos. If I wanted to look at widgets, I can quickly navigate there if I want. Please fix this Apple!
