Pages "remembers" whether you had that section expanded before. Try closing a document with that section expanded, then reopen.

Who are "they"? And what version of Pages are you using? Recent versions have this:


No, Pages 10.2 NO LONGER has the before paragraph and after paragraph spacing option. At least if it does, I can't find it. I use that constantly in my forms and correspondence.

Okay. I'm getting old I guess. Thanks Terence. For some reason I'll never understand, I didn't notice the disclosure arrow that I had to click, because of course before the update it opened up already clicked. I'll never admit that though.
