iOS 14 - Not able to turn off two factor authentication

Hello,

I've never used it, but it looks like after updating the system on my iPhone to iOS14, it turned on automatically.

I tried to turn it off, but there is no option on my device. So I can only manage the numbers, but not disable it at all.

I tried to change the security configuration using the website and account settings on my Mac, but there is also no way to turn it off as described in this article:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915

The "turn off" button just disappeared.

This is a big problem for me because very often I do not have access to my phone or my phone does not have access to the network. In this case, I will be blocked by this function. It's terrible even because I have to move to another room every time I need to change something.

The question arises, why is this mandatory and how to switch off two factor authentication after update?

2 Factor Authentication is required for certain Apple services.

From the article below. If it has been on longer than 2 weeks, you can't turn it off.

Can I turn off two-factor authentication after I’ve turned it on?

If you already use two-factor authentication, you can no longer turn it off. Certain features in the latest versions of iOS and macOS require this extra level of security, which is designed to protect your information. If you recently updated your account, however, you can unenroll for a period of two weeks. Just open your enrollment confirmation email and click the link to return to your previous security settings. Keep in mind, this makes your account less secure and means that you can't use features that require a higher level of security.

Apple ID -Two-factor authentication.

Current services from Apple that require 2FA include:

Apple Card

Apple Pay

Home Kit

Messages in iCloud

iCloud Keychain (in newer IOS/OS versions).
