Apple watch 3 not pairing to Iphone XS due to update.

Goodmorning everyone,

While trying to update my apple watch 3 i unpaired it. Now when i try to pair it again to my Iphone XS running latest version of IOS (14.0.1) i get the following error:

Unable to check for update. Checking for a software update failed because you are not connected to the internet.

I have tried rebooting both Iphone and Apple Watch, resetting network settings, switching wi-fi connections and also tried with cellular data but i always get the same error.

Anyone else is experiencing this problem and know how to solve this issue?

Try uninstalling all profiles if you have any (Settings > General > Profile > Click on each profile > Remove Profile), and reset network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings).

Thereafter, connect to the internet via WiFi, and pair with your apple watch again. The update should come through successfully. This worked for me after chatting with an Apple Support Specialist over the phone!
