Random Loud chirping noise.

Hi all. I read an old post where someone was experiencing the exact same thing I’m getting. He never went on to say if he found an answer.

at random times during the day. My phone makes a loud “chirp” like a really fast high pitched double beep. The second been is of higher pitch than the first. It comes from the actual earpiece on the phone.

no new notifications have popped up.

ive checked notification settings and came up trumps.

Phone is running the latest software.

Any ideas?

Thanks

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Hi, VXstu.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We’re glad you decided to reach out about the sounds that you’re hearing on your iPhone. If we understand correctly, you’re using an iPhone 7 running iOS 14, and you keep hearing loud chirps and no notifications have been popping up.

Is this only happening when you’re on the phone with someone? Since it sounds like it may be coming from the receiver on your iPhone, we’re curious about whether it could be carrier related or feedback from the materials in your iPhone case.

If you haven’t already, try removing the case to see if it continues. A couple of your fellow Apple Support Communities users have had luck in removing their cases. Some metal and other materials in the sturdier cases can cause interference when you're on a call.

All our best.
