Alternative to TouchCopy?

I have an old 160G iPod Classic that works fine. The amount of music and number of files on it is more than I can handle manually, so for the last few years, I've used TouchCopy (TC12,TC16) as my music file and backup manager, and been very happy with the arrangement. However, TouchCopy 16 will no longer launch for me because of 1) something in one of the numerous and infamous Windows updates disabled something that TouchCopy needs to run, or 2) because of something in how my new (one month) Dell Inspiron 3880 with Windows 10 Home is configured. My new Dell PC has run perfectly in every way and allows all of my other programs, including iTunes with my iPod recognized, to launch. TouchCopy's only response was to check and make sure that I was running the latest version of the Windows .NET framework, which I am.

So, I'm looking for alternatives to TouchCopy. I'm not looking for a free program; I want something with an intuitive interface that is easy to use; and I want to be able to transfer and backup songs by playlist, not just by song.

Thank you all so much for your suggestions and advice!

Agree with Turingtest2, if you have installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store, it may be beneficial to uninstall this version and perform a clean installation from Apple directly. On the iTunes download page on Apple's website, scroll down to 'Looking for other versions?' and click 'Windows'. Scrolling back up will now display the link to download iTunes directly rather than through the Microsoft Store.

Also, rather than updating TouchCopy, try uninstalling it, then re-installing it from here

If this fails, get in touch with the TouchCopy support, I have found them very helpful in the past
