is it OK to upgrade my mac to catalina - it's an older (2013) MacBook pro - what issues have you had (besides the 32-bit issue)

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

If it has an SSD, it should be fine. If it has a mechanical HDD, then it will be slow.

If you are running Mojave on it, then it will run Catalina similarly.

Catalina has much more security/privacy controls than previous versions which seems to be problematic for some software, but I haven’t seen a lot of posts relating to that.

It runs fine on my 2012 Mini with a DIY Fusion Drive in it.
