Your iPhone 6 is probably asking for an Apple ID and Password to remove the Activation Lock. Is that correct? If YES then you will need that information to remove the lock. There is no way around it. It is a security feature.
You had stated you just got the iPhone. My recommendation is that you either return the iPhone OR ask the seller/presenter to give you the Apple ID and Password so you can unlock it.

Why do they "make" the Activation Lock? Activation Lock is a security feature to deter theft of the iPhone. If an iPhone gets stolen then without the right credentials it will not operate and will render itself useless.

The right way to state that is that you cannot use someone else's iPhone with an Activation Lock in place.

My grandmother gave it to me
Understood however you will still need to get the information from her if that is possible.

Why do they make that?
It's an anti-theft measure.
It is just frustrating that I can’t use my iPhone without the Apple ID password.
