Mac OS Catalina not allowing touch interactivity with connected flat-panel Smartboards

Since updating to Catalina, classroom computers (Mac minis) connected to Smartboard models E70 and 6075 have no touch interactivity (pens and touch do not work when touching screen, computer does not recognize a device is attached). I have followed all of Smarttechs directions manually allowing Notebook and Smartboard Service in the Privacy settings, but it has not helped. Right now the only option seems to be dumbing the computers to Mojave, but that means backing up ten classrooms. Smart's only advice is to keep trying.

Greetings, Linda@ccs!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you’re having issues with using touch interactivity since updating to macOS Catalina. Let’s start by checking out this article to Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac and see if the issue happens in a new user account on the Mac.

Also, check out this link for SMART Board 4000 and E70 downloads to be sure the driver is up to date for the computer.

Let us know the results and have a great day!
