iPhone Video - Strange Aspect Ratio Issue

I frequently take my iPhone Videos, get them into Windows, and process then with a video editor. Great quality, full screen, never an issue.

This weekend, I did a video shoot, but when I took them into Windows, they're cropped like a square video., huge black bars around them. The pixel size is what I'd expect - 1920x1080. Checked the parameters of otehr videos I've done, can't see anything obvious.

Now to make things stranger - looked at a brief outake, THAT SIZED CORRECTLY.

The only thing I can think of is I was short on Memory (only about 1 GB left). That might explain why the larger videos (~200 MB, 3:30-4:30 in length) would behave differenty.

Any thoughts? More importanly, any way to fix what I've already shot? It's great footage - it just won't size correctly!!!!!!

Hello CVictor0903 and welcome to Apple Support Communities. It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others answer your question:.

If you view the same clips in the Photos app on the iPhone itself do they appear as cropped? Knowing this would help to isolate this issue to one involving the way the video was shot on the iPhone (if the video appears as cropped when played in the Photos app) or to something involving the way the PC is dealing with the video file (if the clips do not appear as cropped when played via the Photos app).

Cheers.
