Unable to Pair Apple Watch Series 1 with iPhone 7 iOS 14

I have experienced this software issue. Even a hard reset did not fix the issue. I continued to get the message "watchOS 6.1.3. Your software is up to date." For me this was a series 5 watch. This looks like a software issue but because there is no fix that will allow you to start the update, you may need to have your watch replaced.

I am having the same issue and have followed all advice without success. Any further suggestions?

I’m having this issue still currently and can’t pair my watch and any tips on how you got it to work would be great.
