Activity App stopped working

The Activity app on my Apple Watch 5 stopped working. On the Watch the app is all blacked out. I cannot reach the app to delete and reload. What to do?

Thank you for your supportive message.

The problem was extended to multiple apps, like the health app.

I noted that there were more and more like complaints from people with new, after July 2020, watches.

So my conclusion was that this was a more general issue.

And indeed. The update to 7.0.2 of last week did finally resolve all problems.
