I just did an update on my ipad 2 days ago and now my email isn't working. I open mail, it loads then shuts down on me. I have done a restore on the ipad and have also done a hard shut down, blown out my email address and then reinstalled it but nothing is working. Please help!
I think there was a problem with the update. My email works just fine on the computer but not on the ipad! Very frustrating, I have been looking on the web and can't find an answer anywhere!
I .have 3 email addresses. I shut off cogeco and found I could now open hotmail & yahoo. Then I went to my mail on my laptop & deleted all the messages on the cogeco server.Any messages I want to save I now put in a file on my laptop mail site. I then removed cogeco from my ipad & reinstalled it.I could now open this mail site.It showed I had some messages at the site but none were there.As soon as the first new message came in that number of messages corrected itself.Hope this works for you.
Thanks for the info goldfinger. I have deleted my shaw account, closed mail, reloaded it, gone into my mail through shawmail.ca deleted everything there, then reloaded my mail. Nothing worked! I have read on another link that there is an undeliverable mail that is causing the glitch. I can't get into the mail on the ipad to delete this mail (I have deleted it everywhere else) to help solve the problem! Very frustrating!!
When you went to shaw did you empty all the folders ie sent, deleted & go to your settings on your pc & make sure when you empty your inbox sent junk & deleted folders they are removed from the server site otherwise when you re install shaw on your ipad it will redownload all the same messages.
