Wired apple pencil use

The apple pencil 1st generation has a lighting connector for charging and for pairing with bluetooth. Is it possible to use the connector with a female/male cable and connect this to the ipad so as to avoid using bluetooth? I have often had problems with bluetooth dropping out while giving zoom lectures and want a more reliable wired connection.

Is my Apple Pencil compatible with my iPad Pro? I’ve never used an Apple Pencil (1st gen), and I have not been successful getting it to charge/pair with my iPad Pro (11in.-3rd gen). I bought a new charger and adapter for the Pencil. I should plug in a USB-C to one end and the Apple Pencil in the other, but they don’t actually fit. The lighting-type end fits in one end, but it’s not what any pictures describe nor online. I have no clue what I am doing wrong here. After “charging” it, I tried opening the Bluetooth on my iPad, but the pencil does not appear. I’m at the point where I’m not sure they are compatible.

No. It only plugs into your iPad via the Lightning plug to charge it. It is NOT capable of working without a Bluetooth connection.
