i sold a phone but the buyer has stated that the phone is tied to by apple id.

i sold a phone but the buyer has stated that the phone is still tied to by apple id. I removed all devices from icloud. what can i do?

Follow the steps in the 2nd part of the article below.

Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support.
