Notification on Other Mac

I'm trying to reset a password for an Apple ID and I receive a message saying open the Notification on your other Mac but I don't know which Mac it is referring to. How can I find this out? How can I determine which other Macs are linked to my main Mac that I received the message on?

You can check your registered trusted devices on your Apple ID account page:

...

View and manage your trusted devices

You can view and manage a list of your trusted devices on iOS, macOS, and in the Devices section of your Apple ID account page.

On iOS:

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Select a device from the list.

On macOS Catalina:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
  2. Select Apple ID.
  3. Select a device from the sidebar.

On macOS Mojave or earlier:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
  2. Select iCloud, then click Account Details.
  3. Click the Devices tab.
  4. Select a device from the list.

On the web:

  1. Go to your Apple ID account page.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Go to the Devices section.

The device list shows the devices that you're currently signed in to with your Apple ID. Select a device to view device info like the model and serial number. Below that you can see other useful information, including whether or not the device is trusted and can be used to receive Apple ID verification codes.

You can also remove a trusted device by selecting Remove from Account from the device list. Removing a trusted device will ensure that it can no longer display verification codes and that access to iCloud, and other Apple services on the device, is blocked until you sign in again with two-factor authentication. If you need to find or erase your device before you remove it from your trusted device list, you can use Find My iPhone

thanks so much for your quick and detailed response which has helped locate linked devices

I'm trying to set a new password for an Apple ID as the old password has been forgotten and the email address attached to it is no longer in use. I spoke with Apple and they advised to download the Apple Support App on another device in the family (let's call it iPhone A). In the App I entered the Apple ID that I was trying to retrieve the password for. It then asked me for the mobile number (of iPhone B) associated with the ID which I entered. It then sent a notification over to a linked MacBook where I had to enter the mobile number again. It then stated to Open another Notification on your other Mac. There are no other linked Mac devices so I don't know where to go now. There are linked iPhones and iPads but no notifications were received on these devices. We have some other Mac laptops in the family but they're not linked and no notifications were received on these. Any ideas?
