Can’t update Series 1 past WatchOS 4.3.2 (IOS14 iPhone 7Plus)

I’m running IOS14 on my iPhone 7plus.

The latest Watch app’s My Watch menu:

General->Software Update result only says Up To Date with WatchOS 4.3.2 and doesn’t show WatchOS 5 as available to download for my paired Series 1 apple watch. How can I get WatchOS 5 installed on my Series 1?

If your watch won't go past watchos 4 then it is a 1st generation watch you have and that is as far as it will go.
