Do not disturb

My phone is on do not disturb while I am on another very important call. It is set to silence “always”. It is set to allow phone calls “from no one”. Repeated calls is also off. But phone calls still beep in asking if I want to accept or decline! I would think that “do not disturb” means to block

The critical thing here is: DND activates when your iPhone, etc. is locked. If you are already on a call, your iPhone is not locked, so the second call comes through. Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Try de-activate Call Waiting and/or speak to your carrier, for additional assistance, if required.
