School mac

So i have a macbook from school from 2010 model number is A1370 and i dont remember what my login was and was just trying to wipe it to use as a normal computer and i dont have any of the disks.

If you had macOS 10.12.6 or 10.13 installed, then try booting into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R so that you can erase the whole physical drive before reinstalling macOS.


If you cannot boot into Internet Recovery Mode, then try local Recovery Mode (Command + R). Otherwise you will need access to another Mac which can run macOS 10.11 through 10.13 so that you can create a bootable macOS USB installer:

If these options don't work, then you will need to purchase the original OSX 10.6 DVD which originally shipped with this exact model laptop. This may be difficult to find.
