eSims are digital sims and you can store as many as you want in Settings, though only 1 can be active at a time. See here: Using Dual SIM with an eSIM - Apple Support

You can store more than one eSIM in your iPhone, but you can use only

one at a time. To switch eSIMs, tap Settings, tap either Cellular or

Mobile Data, and then tap the plan you want to use. Then tap Turn On

This Line.

Physical sims which are different to eSims, are limited to 1 or 2 depending on the country of sale of the iPhone.
