I’ve been using this iPad for two or three years and all of a sudden the electronica keyboard appears even when the iPad is attached to a physical keyboard. This never happened before. I can’t make the electronica keyboard disappear and it’s very cumbersome to be typing on a real keyboard when half the screen is covered with an electronica one. How can I make it disappear?And why is this happening all of a sudden?

I just redid the connection between the iPad and the keyboard. It gave a very loud click and the problem disappeared. I guess it was a poor connection. Thanks for your help.

It sounds like the electronic keyboard is popping up when a physical keyboard is attached. Which iPadOS version is the device running? If an update is needed, let's do that now: Update iPadOS

The iPad was just updated a few days ago. In fact, I think this problem started after the update.
