How to change the key repeat rate?

It is driving me crazy.

The key repeat rate is extremely slow.

If I am to delete 50 characters, it would take 1 minute.

I have set it to the fastest, but it is still extremely slow.

I also tried

1. defaults write NSGlobalDomain KeyRepeat -int 1
2. defaults write NSGlobalDomain KeyRepeat -int 0
3. defaults write -g KeyRepeat -int 1
4. defaults write -g KeyRepeat -int 0

but none of them works.
