my iPhone auto-correct function has learned to correct "and" to "abs". everytime I want to type "and" it automatically changes it to "abs". how can I fix that?

This isn’t a text replacement things but an apple thing, likely with one of the 14.x updates.
To work around it (which we shouldn’t have to) you need to put in to the text replacement the word “and” to be replaced with “and”.
this is 100% an issue with the local dictionary, similar to how the devices screwed up the phone numbers after a 14.x update.
I think my posts got our of order. It worked for me as well when I followed the steps in your screen shot. Thanks for following up. 😉

None of the below suggestions are helping - no short cut has been created - why is ABS being inserted when I'm trying to type AND ?

The auto correct on the iphone 11 is so flawed considering the ridiculous price tag.

Spoke with rep at apple about latest update changing “and “ to “ abs “ on the phone over an hour with rep no resolution ! This is infuriating a simple word screwed up !
Mine does the same good is now hood, and is Abs, duck instead of f#@*& Use your imagination 🤦🏼♀️
