1st Generation Apple airpod disconnecting during calls

Hi Apple Team,

From past couple weeks I have been seeing a weird issue with Apple AirPods (1st Gen) firmware 6.8.8. During phone call the Apple AirPods keeps disconnecting with in 45 seconds of a phone call. I have latest versions of OS in all iPhone/IPad/MacBook devices. I tried doing hard reset by holding 15 sec, and disconnecting the devices didn’t worked as well. The AirPods doesn’t have any charging issue. I believe when I have update to latest iOS version on my devices causing this issues for first gen AirPods ????

FYI I have checked there is no external interface as well.

Hello ganeshvanam,

Thanks for the update. Since the AirPods work except when on FaceTime or cellular calls, try forgetting and adding the AirPods again.

Go to Settings > Bluetooth, reset the accessory to factory default, then pair and connect and test again.

If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Hey ganeshvanam,

If we understand correctly, the AirPods are able to connect, but they drop soon after the call begins. One reason they could disconnect is wireless interference.

Do the AirPods disconnect while listening to music?

Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

@mario49 The AirPods working fine with music and videos. When I take FaceTime calls or cellular calls after exactly 30-45 seconds the AirPods stop working. I tried turning off WiFi in iPhone but still same issue.

I have checked the battery level on AirPods as well it was more than 90%
