I was typing the name unwanted cookie jabbers in finder search and it showed up this text file RMON-MIB.txt . I put it in the trash for now. Does anyone have an idea what this text file is about, or a malware maybe? Thanks!
I have it here, looks like a part of the OS @ /usr/share/snmp/mibs/RMON-MIB.txt, 3,980 lines in 10.14.6

In itself it's not Malware, it's just definitions for building some smnp Apps used to collect lots of network information easily.
It doesn't look like Malware, but I can't find where it came from, it was put on my computer on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 5:58 PM
I'd move it somewhere or compress it & see how your Mac does.
I'm still searching all the installers I have to see where it came from... there are contact phone$s & eMail addy near the top of that file.
Good to hear my friend, I doubt it is any problem, did you ever have Wireshark or Bandwidth+ installed? Or some Source code you were gong to compile?
I put it in trash since discovering it yesterday. I will wait out and delete it one day. So far email, web browsers, and photoshop Cs3 - haha... still rocking with the old horse on iMac 2009 - all working as expected
