My old phone is still connected to my new one, how do I stop it mirroring?

  1. On Your Old iPhone you can open Settings ➔ General ➔ Reset ➔ Erase All Contents & Settings : This will erase all data on your old iPhone and return it to factory settings OR
  2. You can log your old iPhone out of the Apple ID / iCloud and create a separate Apple ID for it. This is the real issue that you are facing. Both of your iPhones are using the same Apple ID and therefore are overlapping data, messages and notifications.
