Garageband 6.0.5 suddenly won't open. It opened just fine yesterday but now it says it 'cannot be opened because of a problem'.

I have High Sierra version 10.13.6 and have been using Garageband 6.0.5 with no trouble - until suddenly today it won't open.

Does anyone out there know why this might be and how to correct it?

Many thanks in advance.......

Start with this...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
