Can Safari be disabled? Part two

To add to my below post ...I’m am using a different browser than Safari now. It is added as default browser in settings but I keep getting this information when I close the new browser. Does this mean that Safari is running also.? I’m not familiar with what “Open link Copied” means. I hope this is a technical question someone might be more knowledgeable than I am.

Thanks.

Hello OrangeSun,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We see you have a question about an "Open link copied" alert. We're glad to provide some information.

From testing, that looks to be a general notification that a web link was copied to the clipboard and that you could access it by tapping the notification, but doesn't necessarily indicate that Safari is open; the best way to see if Safari is open is to check the App Switcher: Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

To answer your question about disabling Safari, it is possible to hide or limit access to the app using Screen Time; if you wanted to do that, you can tap Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps, and then toggle Safari to off: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope that helps.

Take care.
