I have IOS 14.0.1. I ended up with 2 widgets in different stacks. So I wanted to delete one of those widgets. I can long press to expose the edit stack menu, then it will only let me re-arrange the widgets within the stack. It will not let swipe to or from the left to delete the widget.

Use widgets on your iPhone and iPod touch - Apple Support -- Try pressing a bit more firmly on the screen as you swipe from right to left.
Restart your iPhone - Apple Support -- If you're still unable to remove a widget from the stack, restart your iPhone and test the issue once it's back to the Home screen.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support -- If the issue remains, please be sure to have a fresh backup available.
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support -- Then restore the most current backup to your iPhone, and test the issue once the process has completed.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support -- If you're still unable to delete the widget, we'd like you to reinstall iOS 14.0.1. Place your device in recovery mode using the steps provided. When you're presented with options, please choose "Update" and not "Restore". Once the process has completed, see if the issue has been resolved.
