If the battery condition is "Service Battery", then it means an internal fault has been detected within the battery. You should have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider replace the battery for you if the laptop is still supported and not considered "Obsolete". FYI, an AASP will still replace the battery for you even if the laptop is considered "Vintage" as long as the part is still available. Avoid third party batteries if an official Apple battery repair is available. If a third party battery is necessary, then the best option is a battery from OWC.
