My left AirPod mic's not working

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We’re glad you decided to reach out about the mic on your AirPods. If we understand correctly, the left mic isn’t working and you’d like assistance.

We suggest starting by checking to make sure you don’t have it set to the right AirPod only as outlined in the “Set Microphone to left, right, or automatic” section of this article:

If you’re still not able to use your left mic after checking the settings, try resetting your AirPods.

It’s also a good idea to clean your AirPods and charging case to ensure that the connections are making contact when your AirPods are in the case.

Did you try adjusting the settings to use only your left AirPod as the microphone to see if it works? We also weren’t sure if you tried the reset and cleaning them. 

If you’ve done all of these, and you’re still not able to get your left microphone to work, you’ll need to reach out to Apple Support for more options.
