Apps keep reloading apps on my iPad Air

Hi

Over the past couple of days, my Pages and Numbers apps keep reloading each time I try to open them. When they've 'finished' and I click on the apps, they just start reloading all over again. So I'm locked out of using both apps.

I've got 2gb of spare memory so no problem there. I've noticed that both apps have a tiny iCloud symbol to the left of their names.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Hey there, Craig!

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

From what we understand, you are unable to open the Pages and Numbers apps on your device. We know that these applications are important to you and we’re happy to help you research a solution.

From what we gather, you may be seeing that each app has to reinstall each time you try to open them. We can understand how this must be getting in the way!

To help you find a solution, we want to be sure you have enough available storage space on your device. Please follow these instructions to clear space in iOS: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Pay special attention to the section titled: "Use your device to check its storage".

“Go to Settings > General > [Device] Storage. You might see a list of recommendations for optimizing your device's storage, followed by a list of installed apps and the amount of storage each one uses.”

If you are still unable to install and open the apps after this, please look into reinstalling each app. If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open

“Open the Settings app. Tap General, then tap iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage). Tap the affected app, then tap Offload app. Tap Offload app again. Wait a moment for the app to offload, then tap Reinstall App.”

We hope that these troubleshooting solutions are able to help you open and use each app. Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

Enjoy!
