I have an apple tv subscription; will I lose access to purchased movies if I cancel apple TV?

No. Your subscription to Apple TV+ has nothing to do with your purchased movies. You purchased movies are tied to your Apple ID. If you should ever logout of your Apple ID or create a new one to replace it, then you would indeed lose access to those movies.
