How do I go about changing my password for my login screen on my IMac computer ?

As you are not specific about what password you mean I am going to assume you mean the login password. If that is correct please follow the steps in https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/change-the-login-password-on-mac-mchlp1550/mac
