Wake on Wrist Raise - only turn on during the day?

I saw a post back in 2016 saying you can't set a setting to allow "Wake on Write Raise" for only during the day and have it turned off at night.

is this still not available now? I really like "Wake on Wrist Raise" but I am tired of turning it on and off every day.

Is this feature request added to the backlog some where for the apple watch software team? Seems pretty easy to do.

Hello Heath142,

We understand that you are looking for an option to only have the Raise to Wake feature on your Watch active during the daytime, presumable because the Watch display lighting up at night is disturbing your sleep. At present, there is not an option for this under the Raise to Wake setting, though we are always glad to get feedback on our products:

One alternate option may be to use the Theater Mode feature. This is a quick single button press from the Control Center on your Watch which silences the Watch, turns off the display, and turns off the Raise to Wake feature (the display wakes to a tap/touch until Theater Mode is turned off). As the name implies, this feature is primarily intended for scenarios like watching a movie or play in a dark theater, but many people also use it if they wear their Watch while sleeping, like for sleep tracking.

We hope this helps.
