restore iphone
When I try to restore my iphone it gets to the point of verifying with apple and then stops. Why is apple ******* with me phone and not letting me restore it?

It sounds like you’re trying to restore using an antiquated iOS version. You should tell us the precise steps you’ve done, as well as all software version numbers involved.
Well I just updated the phone two days ago so it shouldn’t be outdated. I hold the power button and the home button for 8 seconds while connected to iTunes. I agree to reset the phone. It goes through till it hits the part about authorization from Apple and then says reset failed.
“You’re iphone cannot be updated it must be restored to factory settings.” I then click restore and it goes through the process till it gets to the “verifying with Apple” and then says it fails. So we are back to my original question: why won’t Apple let me restore my phone? It gets to the point where it needs to verify with Apple and then fails so Apple is stopping it somehow for some reason. I knew this because I read that page already but did it again, just so I can assure you I literally just tried that and it doesn’t work.
We still don’t know any software versions.
