I’ve deleted photos from I cloud yet it still says not enough memory even though I have over 2 gig available

Deleted all iPad photos on ICloud. Now I have over 2gig of iCloud memory left. Yet iPad still will not back up saying not enough memory

Go to settings>Your Name>iCloud>Manage Storage and see what else is using the storage in iCloud.

Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support


You can also check Settings>Your Name>iCloud>Manage Storage>Backups>Your Device Name and check the size of the next iCloud backup. See if the figure in there makes sense regarding the message that there is not not enough storage for a backup.
