GREYED OUT FILES

I HAVE MANY FILES THAT APPEAR IN GREY AND CANNOT BE ACCESSED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you are referring to files appearing in the Pages Open File Chooser, then the following categories of files cannot be opened, and will appear in gray:

  • PDF
  • All images
  • Keynote or Numbers documents
  • OpenOffice, NeoOffice, or LibreOffice OpenDocument formats (.odt, .ods, .odp)
  • MS Publisher files (.pub)
  • AppleWorks documents
  • WordPerfect documents
  • All others that are not:
    • .txt
    • .rtf/rtfd
    • .pages
    • .doc/x
