Cannot pair my Apple Pencil 2nd Generation

I had to get a new Apple Pencil 2 as my old one got damaged. It initially connected fine, but suddenly I can no longer get Bluetooth to recognize it. I’ve restarted and upgraded my opp system but no luck. Any tips or tricks to get this connected again would be greatly appreciated.

Is this a firmware issue? It just simply stopped working. I would connect the pencil magnetically, and I see an animation appear, and it hangs for a little bit but does not connect. I checked the Bluetooth settings, and it does not appear in the devices list. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

apple pencil 2nd gen not connecting I bought this apple pencil 3 months ago, and it was working perfectly it’s new. After the update the apple pencil stopped working, i tried everything, changing the tip, restarting the ipad, checking if the tip was screwed on correctly, it’s not battery because i keep the pencil attached to the ipad all the time, i tried disconnecting it to bluetooth but after selecting “forget device” bluetooth does not recognize the pencil, it just does not show up at all, when i attach the pencil the notification of “apple pencil” comes up but does not say battery and does not connect, when i turn off the bluetooth it even says “connect device” but it does not connect at all

Clearly you don’t have a iPad2 with iOS9 - as suggested by the tags appended to your post...
