Having issues with the e-mail on my phone

When I try to send an e-mail I get the message:

The connection to outgoing server "smtp-mail.outlook.com" failed. Additional Outgoing Mail Servers can be configured for Mail account in Settings, accounts and passwords.

Delete the account, restart the phone, then add the account back. You may need to contact the email provider to ensure that you have the correct settings for the servers.That error has to do with the outgoing mail server, SMTP. It is probably a password or SSL error.
