I understand that Adobe will no longer be supported, what does this mean to Mac OS? What will be a replacement?

There is no replacement.
Nothing for you to replace it with. Sites have been transitioning away from Adobe Flash for several years now, and either removing the old Flash content without replacing the functionality, or by replacing the Flash functionality on their side with HTML5 streaming content which all browsers support.
There is no "replacement". It doesn't matter what platform you're using.
Flash is dead. All support for flash from Adobe ends 12/31/2020
Most browsers have already terminated support for the Flash plugin.
A few will support it until the end of the year (Google Chrome, for example). After that, it will not function at all.
It is only Adobe Flash Player that will no longer be supported.
Adobe is also stopping supporting Adobe Flash at the end of the year.
Other Adobe products are not affected.
