Since the installation of Catalina I have a very annoying problem with Apple mail. When I scroll through my mails, the mail messages tend to scroll left or right with a slight touch of the mouse and disappear from view. The message will then go to the trash. I have already tried everything in the settings of the mouse but it cannot be resolved. Anyone else also have this problem?

If not, do you have another mouse you can test this issue with?

We understand your other mouse works with Mail, but the Magic Mouse is still having an issue, and you're unable to open mail intermittently.
For the issue with your Magic Mouse, we may look into replacement or repair. Click here to work with us directly for all of your options:
For the Mail issue with your emails not opening as expected, we'd like you to close the Mail app and then reopen it while holding down Shift. This helps refresh the app, and clear cache that can cause an issue.

I did as advised but the problem still remains. A few remarks: the cursor itself does not move. It only causes the email line to move to the left or the right. When the message line moves to the far right it goes to the bin. The problem only occurs in th email app. I have used another (generic) bluetooth mouse that has not got the touch capabilities the magic mouse has. The problem is not there, the message are not moved.
I forgot to mention another related problem: very often I cannot open an email by clicking on the email line. The line turns blue but does not open even after clicking a few times.
In july I have reported the problem to the Dutch Apple support team and te incident number is: 101123165848
And again: the problem only started after installing Catalina
Correction: "The line turns blue but does not open even after clicking a few times. " should read as:
The line does not turn blue and does not open even after clicking a few times.
